Developing Tank Simulator
Pour, agitate, drain and fix — with real chemistry colours and timings.
Load film onto a reel inside a changing bag, step by step, in 3D.
This device cannot render WebGL, so the interactive 3D scene is unavailable. Use the step list on the right to walk the same procedure.
Loading is the only step that must happen in complete darkness, and it is where most rolls are ruined. Fifteen minutes of practice with a sacrificial roll will save more film than anything else you do.
Load an expired roll onto the reel ten times with the lights on, ten times with your eyes closed, and ten times inside the bag. That is twenty minutes and it turns the hardest step into a reflex.
Pour, agitate, drain and fix — with real chemistry colours and timings.
Focus, stop down, filter for contrast and expose — see the print appear.
Analyse a photograph, place it on eleven zones, and get a suggested EI.
